Types of grasses available:
- Zoysia, Emerald
A beautiful lawngrass that adapts to a wide variety of soils, has good wear resistance, and provides an extremely dense sod which reduces weed invasion. Zoysiagrass, while not trouble free, is a terrific, versatile variety. Zoysiagrasses become dormant (turn brown) in cold weather and are commonly overseeded with ryegrass to maintain green winter color. Zoysiagrasses are perhaps the most beautiful warm season lawngrasses. Emerald zoysia is also a fine-textured, and dark green Turfgrass. Emerald was released by the USDA and the Georgia Agricultural Station in 1955. Emerald is very drought and cold tolerant. It is slow to spread, but once established, it crowds out weeds. It is wear resistant to foot traffic. Emerald grows in full sun but also has good shade tolerance. Used at Texas Motor Speedway.
- Zoysia, Jamur
A beautiful lawngrass that adapts to a wide variety of soils, has good wear resistance, and provides an extremely dense sod which reduces weed invasion.
Requires a high level of maintenance and, while not trouble free, is a terrific, versatile variety.
Becomes dormant (turn brown) in cold weather and are commonly over seeded with ryegrass to maintain green winter color.
Perhaps the most beautiful warm season lawngrass.
- Zoysia, El Torro
Most Resilient Zoysia GrassSpreads Faster Than Other Zoysia. Excellent Cold And Heat Tolerance Grows In Full Sun Tolerates Moderate Shade. Very similar to Jamur Zoysia.
- St. Augustine, Raleigh
Beautiful, fast-growing, warm-season turfgrass. Many cultivars are quite sensitive to freezing temperatures, but some are able to tolerate colder temperatures. St. Augustines grow well in most well drained soils and a wide pH range. St. Augustines are generally coarse and have poor wear tolerance. The North Carolina Experiment Station released cold-hardy Raleigh St. Augustine in 1980. Although finer textured (with a narrower blade) and more tolerant of shade than Zoysia, Raleigh develops dense ground coverage. Raleigh St. Augustine is medium green in color, SAD virus resistant and is best grown in heavier clay soils.
- St. Augustine, Palmetto
Densely Spreading Variety
Aggressive Growth Habit
Rich, Dark Green Color
Cold Tolerant
Performs Well In Sun And Shade
- Bermuda, Tiffway 419
Tifway 419 is an improved hybrid bermuda developed from the famed Tifton, Georgia turf breeding program. Tifway forms a fine textured, dense hybrid bermuda turf, that excels in high traffic areas or under athletic field conditions. It is more aggressive than Tifgreen and holds its color longer going into the winter months. Tifway performs at its best in full sun with a mowing height of 1/2-3/4 inches. When fully established, it has excellent drought and heat tolerance and will recover quickly from abuse or neglect.
- Bermuda, Celebration
Native to Africa . Has excellent wear, drought, and salt tolerance. It is used primarily on golf courses, athletic fields, tennis courts, and bowling greens. It becomes dormant (turns brown) in cold weather and is commonly overseeded with ryegrass to maintain green winter color. Bermudagrass grows and spreads rapidly.
